2 nights ago juns, me, zhen he and brendan went for the kt tunstall concert. We saw miss maughn there with her fiance and her brother but sadly, she didn't recognize us (i think). Zhen he and i went to say hi and then she gave us this i-dont-know-you-but-i'm-smiling-to-be-nice kind of smile. How embarrassing.
We sat behind her though, and we saw her clapping and bobbing enthusiastically along to the music, which isn't surprising cause she's just like that in class too (very hyper...for a teacher).
Anyway, the concert was really good and juns says her songs are much better live than when recorded. After almost every song she'd change her guitar. i think she had 4 guitars altogether. One acoustic and a really nice shiny electric one like the one in her Drastic Fantastic poster. My favourite song was her cover of Walk like an Egyptian by The Bangles. I wanna listen to it on repeat! During her encore she used this machine (called the wii bastard) where she records the sounds that she makes and then they play on repeat throughout the song so it provides the rhythm. She's the only singer i know who uses it during her concerts and its really fascinating to watch. Here's a video of it:

She was so fun during her concert. Near the end of it, she saw these people standing near the stage wearing "PLEASE MEET US" t-shirts and so she was like "i may not get a chance to meet you guys later because i may get abducted by aliens and i'll never see you again! So lets meet now!" Then she went up to the people and started talking to them! She's surprisingly down to earth for a celebrity.
She also told us a random fact that she said she gave out every concert. Singapore's random fact was that for every 10 people that have ever lived, one person is alive. So for every live person on earth now, there are 9 dead people. Yes, it is a VERY RANDOM fact, but interesting to know i guess.
I'm really glad i went to the concert. Even though now i wish we were standing in the mosh pit cause we would've been more hyper during her songs.
